The magnificent Blue Anchor pub which once stood at the junction of Dock Street and the Highway. Circa 1930s. The pub was demolished in the 1960s.

Our once nearest neighbour pub, the Hearts of Oak was located about 20 meters South down Dock Street where the data centre now stands. the pub was demolished in 2002. Farewell old friend.
